POEM: I Will Start Tomorrow
The most loyal promise I’ve ever kept.
Today is for resting. Today is for scrolling. Today is for one more episode that turns into three. Today I'm the person with intentions. But tomorrow is my favourite day. Tomorrow I'll wake up early. Tomorrow I'll drink water. Tomorrow I'll change my life in small, reasonable steps. Tomorrow I'll write. Tomorrow I'll budget. Tomorrow I'll become the person with routines. Tomorrow has a clean calendar. Tomorrow is organized. Tomorrow believes in me. Tomorrow is where the gym lives. Tomorrow is when the novel gets finished. Tomorrow is when the inbox gets cleared. Tomorrow is endlessly patient. Tomorrow waits while I snack. Tomorrow waits while I lie down “for five minutes.” Tomorrow is a beautiful lie. Every night, I whisper: I will start tomorrow. And it still feels like progress.

“Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?” Thanks for reminding me about one of my favorite Anne Shirley quotes. :)
And the Tommorow nevers comes 😭
