The Academy

Disclaimer: I don’t have a name for the Academy yet. So it’s “The Academy” for now!
Most people discover the Innerverse by accident.
A difficult loss.
A period of uncertainty.
A life-changing decision.
One day everything feels normal. The next, you’ve found yourself somewhere unfamiliar.
This happens more often than people realise.
That’s why the Academy exists (early sketches and visual concepts of what it looks like now).
Founded generations ago, the Academy trains young people to understand, navigate, and guide others through the landscapes of the Innerverse.
Students arrive at around fifteen years old and spend four years learning the craft of navigation.
They study emotional geography.
Innerverse realm theory.
Creature behaviour.
The risks of anchoring.
The art of guidance.
And, perhaps most importantly, themselves.
Because the Academy teaches a simple belief:
You cannot guide someone through a place you have never explored yourself.
Over the years, its graduates have become Navigators, teachers, researchers, counsellors, and community leaders.
For many, the Academy is a place of belonging.
A place where confusing experiences finally begin to make sense.
A place where students discover they are not nearly as alone as they thought.
Which sounds wonderful.
And often it is.
But every institution is shaped by the stories it tells itself and those aren’t always good.
